A Registered Electrical Engineer with 35 years’ experience specialising in electrical installations within potentially explosive atmospheres.

Having completed a four year craft apprenticeship as a electrician in 1985, Gareth went on to further and Higher education studies in Electrical Engineering while still working for a electrical contractor gaining invaluable knowledge both on site and in the classroom, which gave him a valuable ability and skill base both in theory and hands on practical work.
Working both at home and throughout the UK, he dedicated himself to achieving very high levels of installation work and making sure projects were completed on time every time, a work ethic that forms the basis of everything he undertakes.
With a particular interest in Petrol Filling Station electrical systems, Gareth is a active member of the APEA Council (Past Chairman) and the resident electrical expert on the APEA Technical Committee and is heavily involved with the development and updating of the “Blue Book” more recently giving input to the addendum for Hydrogen installations and dispensers.
Since commencing self-employment a number of years ago, Gareth has used his undoubted talents and client skills to develop and deliver electrical training courses particularly for those persons involved in Hazardous location installations, many courses are bespoke to a client’s particular aims and industry requirements. But as a registered CompEx© Trainer and Assessor he also delivers training and carries out assessment work at numerous Licenced CompEx© training centres here in the UK and Internationally.
